The things we see everyday.

Lately I've been obsessed with photographing texture. Its nice to appreciate the beauty in the things we see everyday.

Oakland Zoo and Fentons Creamery

A couple of days ago, we took our 1yr old to the Oakland Zoo for some animal sight seeing. Took some shots while I was there...

Josslyn trying to get a closer look.

We then ventured to a Bay Area classic, Fentons Creamery for a light lunch..

Ironically, the whole menu is fat free... go figure.

Jossy dipping her fries in whip cream chocolate shake. It's an acquired taste.

So good and all gone.

San Francisco, Flowers and Painted Ladies

Yesterday, I visited the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, for a photography workshop. The weather was a bit overcast which allowed for some decent shots.

A gardner was on site giving tips on how to garden

I didn't even venture in to the conservatory, all these flowers are on the property before entrance. I can imagine the beauty behind the doors... that will be my next visit.

After my Golden Gate Park visit, I did a quick stop at Alamo Square to view the famous Painted Ladies.

The whole time snapping pictures of these homes, all I can think of is 1. I wish it wasn't overcast because then I could get a good city scape shot and 2. These poor people who live in these homes having to deal with tourists all day. I bet they can't even walk around naked with confidence. Terrible.

Cline Winery Sonoma Wine Tasting

Cline Winery in Sonoma was the second wine stop on our tour. The winery wasn't as grand as Jacuzzi Winery in my previous post, but the grounds were beautiful.... gardens, ponds, trails, water features and of course wine!

I realized taking pictures and wine tasting does not mix. We ventured to a third winery but my camera only remembers two.
